Where is WOTC located?
WOTC is situated within Essex County in West Orange, NJ, just around the corner from the South Mountain Recreation Complex.

Is a membership or dress code required to play here?
WOTC is open to all players. No membership is required, and we do not enforce a dress code.
How do I start playing at WOTC? How do I get a court?
WOTC offers annual and seasonal court bookings. Courts can be reserved yearly, or you can call for “Open Time” availability. Our winter season runs from early September to mid-May. Summer memberships provide unlimited outdoor play and reduced indoor rates.
How do I ensure my child is placed in the right program based on their age, skill, and aspirations?
At WOTC, we prioritize matching your child with a program that aligns with their age, experience, and goals. We offer evaluations to guide placement into our programs.
Tennis programs seem to fill up quickly. How do I ensure I sign up on time?
Stay up-to-date with WOTC news and important deadlines by keeping your Court Reserve profile, including your email address, current. We also post notices around the Club and on the lobby bulletin board. Deadlines typically remain consistent each year, and we're always here to answer your questions. Our programs tend to sell out quickly.
How do I book a private lesson?
To book a private lesson at WOTC, please visit our front desk for a list of USPTA and PTR certified coaches. Court time is booked through the front desk, and lessons are arranged directly with your chosen coach. There is a Coach Contact list available at the front desk. Note that, apart from within WOTC’s programs, no tennis professional is an employee of West Orange Tennis Club.
When do the Outdoor Courts close each year?
The outdoor courts open mid April close in late October, weather permitting
Are there group lessons or clinics available for sign-up?
WOTC provides specialized tennis clinics for juniors and high-performance players. For adults, our experienced coaches independently run their own clinics at our facilities. If you have a specific request or need for a clinic or group lesson, please inquire at the front desk.
How do I get involved in a Women’s Tennis Team?
Running from September through April, the Club fields women’s teams at different levels to compete in leagues such as Garden State BB, AA, B, A, and USTA 3.0 and 3.5. Coach Danielle Klurman-Hall leads the coordination efforts for our Women’s Teams.
How do I connect with opportunities to play competitively?
Consider creating an account on UniversalTennis.com for opportunities to compete with players at your level within your geographic area. You can also visit the USTA website for competitive play opportunities.
How do I get involved with the USTA tournaments hosted here?
Most USTA tournaments hosted at WOTC are for juniors. Registration is through the USTA website.
Is there an onsite Pro shop?
Yes, the Pro-Shop is located on the WOTC premises and is independently owned. Stringing services are available 7 days a week. Rush service available upon request.
Are there locker rooms available?
We have two locker rooms, each equipped with showers. Lockers are available for use.
How’s the parking?
We offer an upper and lower level of outdoor parking. There is plenty of parking available.
Are there opportunities to play pickleball?
Yes. WOTC is also home to Pickleball Palace, which is independently owned and operated. For more information, contact Pickleball Palace directly at 973-370-4350.
How do I pay WOTC?
We accept cash or checks only. No exceptions. Deposits are non-refundable, and payment must be submitted on time to participate.
